Carina is an Uzbek Tatar American filmmaker and visual artist, currently based in Metro Detroit. She also trained as a neuroscientist at Michigan State University, ETH Zürich, & Universität Zürich.
Her work explores the psychological ghosts of the past, the spiritual unknown, and movement between people and places. She also works across languages such as Russian, Spanish, & German.
Carina is currently developing a new short film called Pickled Herring. She is very open to meeting collaborators, picking the brains of other creatives, and working on new projects.
